SPAM, rice and soup
so last nyte i cooked up some spam and rice. i waz at K-mart for some WD-40 and decided to pick up a bundle of spinach. so this was my dinner for the night of may 7th 2008. what i made: jasmine rice steamed with chicken broth and purposely toasted to add depth to the texture of the rice, plated with a some sweet pickles and a cilantro garnish.

The soup is made with garlic, spinach, salt, pepper, chalets, sugar, water, broth and a hint of fish sauce.
Finally the main piece is simply fried SPAM, infact it's not even brand name spam it's luncheon meat from wal•mart. the spam is fried and rolled to achieve the half circle shape and plated leaning on each other for a pleasant aesthetic.

There is a little bit fo sauce at the end there which is a very fine blend of cilantro, garlic, oil, lime juice, fish sauce, very small amount of hoison sauce and soy sauce finished off with broth from the spinach soup.

The SPAM is crisp on the edges and chewy in the middle, its salty and savory. the rice is toasted making it soft yet some parts are chewy and crip.
