Eurotrip: The Arrival
how come the people at the gate are some of the most unhelpful people in the world? anyways here are the people at our gate to manchester. it was one of the most empty planes i've ever been on

after the flight to manchester we flew air france. quite a large plane. we actually got seating right behind business class, kind of nice after this whole ordeal.

i cant really sleep on airplanes, i'd get a couple winks here and there at most get (5-10min of sleep at a time) so this whole traveling trip has almost killed me. up for over 28hours figuring out how to transfer from here to there. it was supposed to be a simple flight to the edge of america into france and ended up being alot more complicated than just travel.
seven people and nine pieces of luggage leave denver. arriving in paris: seven very tired people but only FOUR luggage make it onto the baggage claim belts, five essential pieces missing, five people are out of luck and have no clothes to change into.
after going to a nice vietnamese restaurant and having a meal that wasn't some sort of failed space food experiment; we finally get to our place of stay to retire:

this is our apartment in paris.
it was so nice to sleep in a bed. oh yeah, it's actually cheaper to lease an apartment for two weeks than it is to get a hotel. something like 40% cheaper with a group of 5 or more, so this is gonna be homebase for now.
its now 2pm and they've just delivered 2pieces of luggage, both have been blown to bits and strapped back together with standard shipping ribbons; two down and three to go. i went on air france's website and am tracking the luggage and they've basically not even found the other three yet. havent really seen much in paris, did alot of sleep catch-up, but there is some really amazing architecture here, hopefully exploration begins today.
